Argos George Contour by G. Lemmen of Typographer Mediengestalter is a free ornamental display serif with a storybook, old-school air. Broad, curling forms, sharp wedge serifs, and fine inner contour lines make the letters look engraved and theatrical.
It is especially convincing on fantasy book covers, where its sweeping shapes can echo illustrated borders and heraldic details. The same drawing suits game titles and historical event posters. Its audience is designers working with folklore, costume drama, or period themes.
