Cousine Italic is a free monospaced sans serif with a brisk rightward slant and an unusually light, open build. Its broad capitals and softly changing stroke widths keep the lettering airy, even across a rigid fixed-width setting. The lowercase forms are clean and economical.
Technical publishing is an especially apt setting, where its measured spacing can distinguish code extracts, annotations, and diagram labels without taking on the cold look of a terminal face.
