Senamirmir Projectによる無料のSlab Serifフォント「Ethiopic Yebse」は、幅広でフラットなセリフと鈍いブロック状の繋ぎ目が特徴で、古い印刷物のような力強さを感じさせます。正方形の重厚さと丸みを帯びた形状が混ざり合っており、装飾的というよりは、地に足のついた落ち着きのある印象を与えます。
文化イベントのポスターや書籍の表紙、編集記事のタイトル、美術館のグラフィック、パッケージデザインなど、落ち着いた歴史的トーンでメッセージを伝えたい場合に適しています。無料フォントとして、短い見出しやタイトルカード、モノグラム風のイニシャルにも最適です。この重厚なセリフ体は、非常に短いフレーズであってもその存在感を失いません。
