Fam Fuerte by Juan Casco is a free Celtic blackletter font with broad, emphatic capitals and a rough-hewn outline. The strokes swell, taper, and bend abruptly. Uneven edges and blunt wedge serifs give the lettering the look of hand-cut display type.
Its sturdy shapes share common ground with knotwork, shields, and carved-stone imagery in historical game graphics and festival posters. It can also give brewery packaging or pub signage a convincing old-world edge. The irregular forms are especially apt for Celtic folklore and medieval adventure themes.
