Fondamento Italic by Brian J. Bonislawsky of Astigmatic is a free Celtic Gothic font with a pronounced forward lean, broad-nib stroke changes, sweeping capitals, and sharply tapered details. Pointed serifs and uneven contours keep the forms lively.

Boutique packaging and literary event posters draw on its old-world detail, yet the slanted movement keeps both uses spirited and direct. It also suits folk music artwork because the sharp joins and curling letterforms recall ornament found in hand-crafted signs.
