フアン＝ホセ・マルコスが手がけた「Grammata」は、古典的なギリシャの碑文に着想を得た無料のセリフ体フォントです。モダンなディスプレイ書体とは一線を画し、石に刻まれたキャピタル文字のような重厚感を備えています。幅広のくさび形のストローク、鋭い三角形の接合部、そして広がりを見せるセリフが石彫のようなリズムを生み出し、典礼的かつ学術的、そして古風な風格を漂わせます。
この無料フォントは、装飾過多にならずに古典的な雰囲気が求められる博物館のグラフィック、考古学の書籍、古典研究誌、ブックカバー、文化イベントのポスターなどに最適です。また、文字自体が持つ力強いコントラストと儀式的な重みによって、少ない文字数でもページ全体を引き締めることができるため、短い見出しや章の扉、モノグラムのデザインにも適しています。

GRAMMATA Greek font has the classical Greek encoding used in the WinGreek and in the Son of WinGreek packages.
This Greek font has been designed by Juan José Marcos, born in Salamanca (Spain) in 1963, with a degree in Classical Philology, University of Salamanca (1986) and teacher of classical languages.
In spite of designing a font takes a lot of time, I don`t ask money for this font, all I am asking is that you give me your opinion about the font, and let me know if you like it and if you will use it, etc.
