Nidhogg Runic by David Kerkhoff is a free runic display font with tall, narrow symbols and sharply cut silhouettes. Ragged streaks and scattered gaps run through the forms, giving the alphabet a weathered, carved appearance.
Fantasy games and historical event graphics can use its rune-like shapes to suggest inscriptions, relics, or coded messages. The distressed surface also suits metal album covers and dark merchandise. Across these settings, the lettering functions as part of the imagined artifact rather than ordinary text.
