Night Train 315 by Frederic Rich is a free ultra-condensed display serif with the force of vintage poster lettering. Broad vertical strokes fill its narrow letters, joined by small squared serifs and sharp cut-ins. The silhouette is dense and severe.
Vintage industrial graphics are its clearest territory, especially music posters and event signage. It can also give album covers and apparel a tough, mechanical edge through its compressed proportions. Across these uses, the repeated uprights turn words into a striped graphic element.
