Pentagrid v3 by Sebastián Asegurado of FontShop International GmbH is a free geometric sign dingbat font built from stark, modular forms. The visible symbol uses a dense angular frame around a clean rectangular opening, with clipped corners lending it the look of engineered wayfinding. The construction is blunt and highly controlled.
It can link game interfaces with real-world signage because its hard geometry resembles an on-screen icon and a fabricated marker. That directness also suits technology branding and merchandise. With grid patterns or schematic illustrations, the symbol can become part of the information system rather than ordinary lettering.
