Reliant Trash フォント

Reliant Trash by Iza of Intellecta Design is a free distressed calligraphic script with sweeping, tightly linked letters. Elegant loops and dramatic stroke changes are broken by rough gaps, turning formal penmanship into a convincingly damaged surface.

It is strongest on music posters, where its frayed texture can echo photocopied artwork. Fashion graphics and album packaging also suit its mix of flourish and abrasion. Here, the lettering becomes part of the printed texture rather than a neutral caption.

Reliant is a free interpretation of BernhardSchoenschrift, originally designed by Lucien Bernhard, and Liberty, designed by W.T. Sniffin for ATF in 1927, following Lucien Bernhard’s original designs.

This enhanced OpenType version includes complete Greek and Latin alphabets, with complete character sets for Central European, Vietnamese, Baltic, and Turkish usage, including all diacritic signs and punctuation marks, plus additional characters in those ranges.

The font also includes a Cyrillic alphabet. Dmitry Greshnev of Green Type helped correct the original Cyrillic alphabet for Cyrillic readers.

The font includes an extensive set of ligatures, including stylistic alternates, contextual alternates, and discretionary ligatures, as well as swashes, tail ornaments, additional fractions, and number ligatures. The additional fractions and number ligatures were an idea from Iza W.

The font contains over 800 glyphs, accessible through software such as InDesign, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, and other applications.
