Smoveblock, designed by Lorenz Fidel Huchthausen of FSI FontShop International GmbH, is a free outlined techno display font built from sturdy, single-line contours. Its letters shift between boxy frames, broad curves, and clipped polygonal corners, producing a compact set of shapes with an early digital character. Small breaks and inward notches interrupt several outlines and keep the construction from feeling strictly mechanical.
Its outlined forms echo simple icons in game graphics and posters. That connection also suits technology packaging and music merchandise, and lets magazine feature headings become graphic companions to diagrams and interface imagery.
