Trace of Rough by Galdino Otten is a free distorted display font with dense, aggressively scribbled strokes. Each letter has ragged edges and a restless silhouette.
Themes of noise, rebellion, and hurried mark-making suit it to punk posters and underground music graphics. On streetwear and skate merchandise, the rough fill has the immediacy of marker tags and photocopied flyers. It also belongs in comic illustration, where the lettering can merge with scratchy shadows, ink scrawls, and distressed artwork rather than sitting apart from the image.
