Root by Jason Skoog is a free groovy display font with a late-60s, early-70s lounge feel. The letters are drawn as rounded double-line tubes, with big oval interiors and a soft, looping rhythm that makes even straight forms feel playful and a little hypnotic.

It fits poster headlines, record sleeve graphics, retro cafe branding, title cards, and short packaging names where the free font can carry the mood by itself. Use it for a monogram or a few large words when you want that airy outlined look and those pill-shaped curves to do most of the talking.
