Smoke

Smoke, by Dirk Schaechter, is a free modern display font with a sly psychedelic wink. The letters are heavy and soft-edged, but the real hook is the smoky spiral motif that curls into the round forms, giving the font a hazy, inhaled feel without turning it into novelty lettering.

It fits posters, club flyers, record sleeves, logo sketches, and editorial cover lines where a free font can carry a moody, late-night atmosphere. Use it in short titles and wordmarks especially - the thick lowercase shapes keep the message blunt, while that curling smoke detail gives even a single word a built-in sense of movement.
